Leo completed a law degree through a Commonwealth scholarship at the Australian National University in Canberra, and was admitted to practice as a solicitor in 1967.
Leo is highly experienced in commercial law and litigation, specialising particularly in property-related matters, due in part to his long involvement and interest in real estate.
Leo has been the architect of a number of successful corporate business restructurings and has provided extensive property transaction advice, advice on trust structures, estate planning and estate administration.
He is highly regarded in legal circles due to his extensive litigation experience and has handled large numbers of cases in all areas of law in all Victorian and Federal jurisdictions, including the High Court.
All of the firm’s clients benefit from Leo’s many years of experience of legal precedents and litigation tactics.
He has acted and consulted for a range of clients through his career, which include publicly listed companies, national and international companies. He continues to act as a consultant to a number of private companies and prominent individuals.
Through his career, Leo has been actively involved with a number of community associations, providing pro bono legal advice for the benefit of the public.
